Don’t Let Your Dream Lair Become a Nightmare…

Picture it. Your dream home. Your right time. You have thought about this moment for years. The style of home. The master bedroom with access to your infinity pool and jacuzzi. Stairs leading up to a loft where you can watch tv and play pool for hours on end. A kitchen with a large island and mosaic backsplash opens up to a phenomenal living room complete with beautifully mastered hardwood floors and a chandelier that rivals Sia’s. You walk into the house and instantly fall in love with everything it has to offer and are ready to make this dream home a reality. All you need is a pen and dotted line to sign on. However, once you begin reading the paperwork placed in front of you, you begin to notice extra costs; the mosaic backsplash is extra, the infinity pool just became not so infinite or existent, and the chandelier doesn’t even rival Lumiere. Your dream home is slowly turning into a nightmare. Why can’t you wake up?? You start to feel deflated because you see everything you had hoped for slipping away add on by add on. I know. I’ve seen it happen. But I want you to know, it doesn’t have to be this way. “But, Serina!! I just can’t!! It is all too much and I will never be able to find what I am looking for and will have to settle for less!” To that I say, PISH POSH! Don’t sell yourself short with a sell that seems short. Park in the Google Driveway, get out of the car and follow me inside this blog as I show you how to to have your dream lair without the nightmare.

My team and I specialize in new construction homes and builds. We have seen upwards of 100 new and custom built homes, and I can assure you…your perfect house is only a few designs away. Don’t let the initial realizations of costs deter you from owning the home you so desperately want to have. That is where us realtors come into play. To help you get as close to everything you are looking for as possible. When you go into a new construction home, make sure you know what costs CAN be included. Some builders will offer funds toward closing costs as well as, wait for it, money toward upgrades. What?? That’s right! That mosaic you wanted and that pool are actually feasible and attainable if only you know what can be offered to you. You’ve heard the saying, “Don’t judge a book before reading the whole story?”, well don’t judge a house before knowing what can be offered. A lot of people make the mistake of going into new constructions on their own without a realtor, falling in love, seeing the paperwork and what is included and just give up. As a realtor I will always tell my clients, “ Don’t give up on the dream”. There are always ways to make your dream home YOUR home.

Moving into the dining area, you will find I have laid out brochures for design studios. That’s right. There are studios you can go to where you can custom pick out what you would like in your home. What you see in models and the specific house you views isn’t necessarily what will be in every single home. Most homes, if not all, vary completely in style and additions. You can actually custom design your own home. You like the granite counters but would like more white in proportion to black? Done! You love the hardwoods but would prefer a lighter wood throughout? Perfect, here you go! You would really love to be sitting in your living room watching HGTV but also feel you are enjoying nature? Pocket doors that slide all the way open so you have that indoor/outdoor best of both worlds feeling? It’s yours! So many buyers think that what they see is what they get when in reality what you see is only a blank canvas for your masterpiece. A reference point if you will. As realtors, we can take you step by step through every cabinet, every floor type, every butlers pantry, every fireplace and every front door there is out there. Your options are limitless. You just have to know what you are looking for going in and what to expect. Don’t pay more for what you aren’t getting, but instead pay less for everything you are.

Your dream lair doesn’t have to be a nightmare. With a realtor, we can take you from “I can’t believe this home could never be mine” to “I can’t believe this home is mine!” You don’t have to spend day after day going from new construction to new construction trying desperately to find what you are looking for and getting frustrated and beat down. Tell us what you want and let us figure out how to make that happen. Build your dream literally from the ground up. This is your dream, make it everything you want it to be. And never settle for less. It is possible. Let us show you how. Wake up from the nightmare and have a good morning in your dream lair!
